The IBEX35 index rose 1.5% to close at 8,033 on Friday, the highest since August 26th, extending gains for the third straight session. Banks were the top performers, followed by Grifols, Indra and Fluidra, with gains of over 2% each. ACS also advanced solidly after a Spanish newspaper reported the company and Sener will build a German LNG liquefied natural gas plant valued at around €500 million. Meanwhile, utility shares were under pressure, as EU energy ministers met today in an emergency meeting to seek measures against the energy crisis. For the week, the IBEX35 booked a 1.3% gain.
